Family, another week come and gone. Time just keeps getting shorter and shorter.
Inv. Update super fast.
SO Valeria is great, everything is looking good for the
16th of April,
I guess she met a boy at EFY and he is even going to come to her
baptism. Were trying to work with her dad a lot so that he can get the
priesthood super fast so that he can baptize her. I think that that
would be a very special experience.
So we kinda got
smashed this week besides Valeria, that seems to happen sometimes. We
have lots of Inv. but are having a hard time getting them to come to
church. Besides Valeria we have 8 more baptism dates but all for the
20th of May and they all haven't ever assisted church. So keep praying that we can get these people to come into this goodness.
So
we still have some people in Tlapacoya but Ive learned that it is kinda
hard getting them baptized when we are 4 hours away and Skype never
works haha. But no worries, we continue forward and I have no double that
we will receive some miracles to help us out there.
We
keep finding some news and this week we found some promising people. One
is named Herminia, she is like 50 years old and is a single mom of one
daughter. She accepted baptism the first lesson and is so nice to us and
says that she already knows that our message is true. She asks super
strange questions lots of time that have nothing to do with the lesson
so we have to guide her back with us sometimes hehe
We also
found a new named Sirina, also accepted baptism for the 20th. We
contacted her and taught her in the street and had a really good lesson. You know you had a good lesson when the people afterwards want to give
us money. We denied it of course and just told her to give us her
direction. We went back and luckily found her house ( I think its the
first house that we have found her) and we taught her mom and her
brother too. She is like 40 and her brother to and her mom is like 60.
Her brother was totally wasted but actually paid attention very good in
the lesson.
The fam Cruz will get home today so tonight we will go and search for them and see what happens.
And, Johanna another inv. in alfa just got baptized this past week too! Im the assist master
THings
are going super good with E. Cruz. We have kind of had a strange
relationship these past weeks but now were like best buds. We had a
super good companionship inventory ( i guess those things actually work)
and he told me that every night we need to talk, I call it the heart to
heart talk and we talk about the day, and what we liked and what was sad
and funny and everything. Pretty much, I feel like Papa Dave Law the
love doctor.
Mom, I have lots of Pics but when I try using
my thing to send them home it says it is going to erase them all so im
in a dilemma with pics.
Conference was flat out amazing. I couldn't watch it in English though but will download it because it is
so much better hearing there voices. But it was so good and even
president Nelson came and watched the 2 Sunday sessions with us out here
in Zacatlan. There' tons of things that stood out to me
1. Remember who we are and our potential
2. God blesses those who try
3. Imagine yourself in the temple
4. All of us will have time to be leaders and time to be followers. Christ is the best leader becasue he is the best follower
And
lots more. Dad, like you said, our Prophet isnt looking too hot but
what a great chance we have to have living prophets that talk to God and
can lead and guide us here.
So cool story of the day,
yesterday one of the inv. of the other elders who is quite the guy came
to church and he just loves me for some reason. He told me yesterday
that I look like Jesus Christ. President was right by me and he just
started laughing. I had never received that compliment before and was
without words ha.
That's about it family. Life is so good,
this week is week 6 so we will see if my comp has changed. I am so
blessed and there's still so much work to do here. Finish strong. Love ya
guys.
