Well Semana Santa officially ended
yesterday so its a good day! It was kind of an interesting week but we
ended up having some good things happen and receiving some miracles.
Inv. Update.
Valeria,
flat out loved EFY. We were super worried because a young man got sent
home from this ward for getting caught smoking hahahaha and he told us
how bad it was and that it wasn't good at all. But besides the smoker,
the had such a great time. Valeria told us that she has never had more
fun and felt the spirit so much in her life and that she did not want to
come home. She bore a powerful testimony of the things that she had
learned in church yesterday. She is dying to get baptized, we moved her
date from the 20th of April to the 16th of April because she just wants to get in that water. Golden.
So
we have still been having some troubles with Tlapacoya haha. Either the
weather is crazy here or there that we can never hear each other very
well. We still have the 6 dates for the 9th but this week lots of them
will fall for lack of lessons and that like no one is married. But we
are hoping that we can at least baptize 1 or 2 the 9th because that would
just be awesome and would be sweet to have the first baptisms in the
history of Tlapacoya. And we would even baptize in a river so we will
see what happens. Keep them in their prayers especially one named
Albertina who will probably get baptized the 9th.
Also
cool story. We were talking with Hno. Delfino the other day and when we
went out to Tlapacoya the first time there was an old woman who was
pretty sick and we gave her a blessing. He told us on Tuesday
(her name is Antonia) That she totally healed and told him that she
knows this church is true now!. The priesthood power is real.
So
I talked the last week a little about Janethzi. SO i have come to the
conclusion that in this area the dads here are just little bums and want
to take everyone's agency away. SO needless to say we went one night and
she came out and told us that her dad said that they could not listen
to us anymore!. It kinda destroyed us but hey......all is well because we found a golden family yesterday. So on Saturday
I contacted a mom and her 4 kids and they totally gave us there direction. So yesterday we went over and they were totally ready for
us. There names are the Family Cruz. The mom and dad are in there late
20s and have 5 kids. 2 of them are older than 8. So we had a sweet
lesson and put dates for them for the 20th of May, because it is still vacation here for the next week and they are going somewhere till next Sunday
night. But they are incredible, one of the most spiritual lessons that I
have had. The mom was asking us questions like the requisites of
baptism. It also made me think that I am starting putting dates for the
last weekend in the mission. That's kinda weird.
I got to go on divisions with my boy E. Page on Tuesday.
Just like old times. It is pretty fun and we still had the good rhythm
together. I don't know but my comp right now is just an interesting
little guy and always tells everyone that they can disobey God and he
will still bless us. I always tell him not to invite the Inv. so sin
haha.
We got some more Inv. this week wanting
us interpret dreams. So Ive learned in this situation to use it to our
advantage and right now our biggest challenge is having Inv. come to
church. So this week all the dreams meant that God was telling them to
come to church and it is sooo funny because it just seems to make so
much sense to them. #dreamman
I cant believe
this week is conference. The last 6 months have passed by so fast. Dad, I
will get to watch conference here and am pretty sure that we will be
watching all sessions. So dont you worry, we will be watching priesthood
together just like old times. I just hope I can figure a way to watch
it in English cause its just not the same in Spanish.
Also,
I talked to my old companions yesterday in Alfa and Jose (the young man
of the less active family) and the family of Miguel Angel were all
baptized!!!!! I'm sooo happy. I still remember whem me and e. Henderson
contacted Miguel Angel outside his house drinking. This gospel truly
changes people.
Tha'ts about family. I have 8 more weeks. I am so happy with what we have done in this area in 4 weeks
and there is still so much more to do. Finish strong, 3 minutes left.
(lets just hope I dont choke like I sometimes did in ball hahahahaha)
dont worry, it wont happen. Love yall
