April 25, 2016

Hey Family!!!! Sorry this is a little late but Zacatlan has been without electricity all day long and just barely got it. This week was absolutely amazing, we are working hard and teaching like crazy. I have been worried about dying my last change my whole mission and have always thought that it would be hard, true my mind wanders all over the place but we just keep going like always. Workin like dogs, that's what I like to call it. (white tiger)

Inv. Update.

So first off I talked a little bit about Sirina the past week that she came to church and absolutely loved it. So this week, the past Tuesday the Pastor or the Pentecost church came to her house and just nailed her for coming to church with us and that God is angry with her. So we were pretty upset and wanted to poke this guy in the eyeballs and we thought we had lost her. But God really helped us this week with her and we passed by for her yesterday and she was all ready. So we went to church and she always sits on the edge of her chair just so focused and she noticed that lots of members were doing something with that yellow envelope thing and wanted to know what it was. SO we explained what it was and she paid her tithing yesterday hahaha it was flat out incredible and a little miracle of God.

We are making tons of progress with Rocio and Shatty. I dont know if I have talked about them but Rocio is a single mom and Shatty is her 9 year old daughter. The problem with them is that Rocio has an 8 month old baby who is just a terror and is always crying so he feels bad that it happens in the church. But they both came yesterday even with the crying baby and the primary is really helping us with Shatty and they both have dated for the 11th of June. We taught them word of wisdom and threw out some coffee!

So we have some Inv who have been in the teaching for like 5 years. The moms name is Rubria and they are just sweet and know this church is true and have read the book of Mormon like 5 times, seriously. The problem is they don't want to get baptized until the dad feels ready. But Rubria and her son came to church yesterday and were praying to receive a miracle with them.

We had my last zone conference this past Thursday. It was great and we talked a lot about getting the trust of members and teaching everything with the Book of Mormon but what stood out to me was that President talked a little bit about miracles and why some people receive miracles and some not. We read and studied Mormon 9:19-21 and decided that the people who receive miracles must do 3 things
1- Have a good positive attitude
2-Obedience
3- Do those things to have a good relationship with god (prayer, Scriptures)
I really loved it and know that miracles still happen today and will always happen. It was super weird because this was the last time I will see lots of my good friends that I have made here and it was honestly hard saying bye knowing that lots of them I will probably never see again.

So this week has just been pouring rain. On Tuesday we were in a little town about an hour and a half away walking when it just came out of nowhere and we were not prepared. We got nailed and I got pretty nice cold this week. There's a funny sign here in Zacatlan that says if you don't like the weather, come back in 30 minutes

Also, we got our light cut from our house on Friday because the dang receipt never got to our house so we have been living like cavemen for the last couple days but we paid it today and will get light tomorrow we hope.

Yesterday I ate Ant Egg tacos, it was pretty sweet and was actually pretty good. SO yall will have to try them some time.

That's about it family. I have less that one month. It is absolutely nuts. Just 3 more times writing. Ive been thinking a little about what I need when I get home and came to the conclusion that I need a green Gatorade bottle, I really like those things so if you can search one it will make me happy. Love you guys so much and1 min and 23 seconds left, crutch time.
