So
just to start off with some Inv. News. Francisca and Fernanda ( the inv.
that we found like 2 weeks ago) are doing absolutely great. They
already have 3 assistences in the church and have a date for the 5th of March.
The only p problem is is that we just keep teaching them the restoration because they keep inviting other family members to the lessons hahaha
which is just fine. They told us how much they just love the church and
the spirit that they feel and like how we pray to God. Francisca (the
mom) is a bit slower and still is looking to receive an answer so make
sure to keep her in your prayers that she can obtain it. Fernanda is 19
years old and is studying Law and is quite smart and already recognizes
her answer from God and that this church is true. I don't know if i told
you this but we found them by just knocking some doors looking for a
contact that gave us a false directions and boom, we found them. Coincidence? I think not.
Our less active
family is doing great. Maria Teresa is the mom and her daughter Marisol
is 22 and then they have a son named Josue who is 13 (who is not a
member) They all came to church yesterday and Maria Teresa bore a sweet
testimony in Church about how grateful she is that we had found her and
how she had forgotten the truth and importance of this Gospel for a long
long time ( they have about 10 or so years inactive) and she is so
happy for Josue. Josue absolutely loves the church. We asked him how it
was and he just said I LOVE IT!!! So were pretty happy for him and he
has a little friend in the church who is showing him the ropes and
everything.
We had a tough with with Luis and
Maria Eleyna. We thought that this was going to be the week that they finally got baptized. Last week we just had a great week with them and
were very direct and had powerful lessons. They both hod told us that
they had received there answer and that they knew what they had to do
and both had dates for this next coming Saturday
but yesterday before church they both just flaked out. It was a bummer
and were not sure what we should do with them. So we will just have to
see if we keep trying or if we drop them.
This
week we had Leadership council. And mom, yes we do wear the same ties
sometimes when we have important training's to give so that we can be
one. Just like the Godhead. Our new focus of the mission is to teach
repentance and to baptize converts. So we talked a lot about teaching
repentance and how we should give commitments to our Inv. We just need
to be pretty direct with them and tell them they need to change some
things in there life and we invite them to repent so that they can all
become more like our savior. Repentance is a change and is for everyone.
Our purpose is to become like Christ and in order to do that we need to
do lots of changes, we need to repent. Really its a great blessing. We
also talked a little about the power that Satan has. He is not dumb and
has lots of time doing what he does and knows how to get us. We also
talked about the importance of being the good shepherd and really going
the second mile with our Inv. so that they can make this great change in
there lives.
We have been working a lot on the
changes plan this past week so that we could present it in the Council.
Its pretty complicated but we thing we got it done. Its going to be
interesting when changes happen and there are bound to be some mishaps.
But we did the best we could and hope that it works out.
We have still not moved to our new house yet. We thought we could move on Saturday so on Friday
night we stayed up late cleaning and packing and were all ready to move
when we got the call that the house owner is coing crazy and we cant
move in yet. House owners here are just nuts, they are truly crazy. It
was a mess dealing with our house owner and telling her that we were
leaving. So right now we are still all packed up and told our house
owner that we would for sure be out tomorrow but the other house owner is going crazy. Who knows what will happen. Maybe we will just have to move here to the offices.
Love you guys so much.
