February 22, 2016

Hey Family!!!! So I actually wrote this letter late last night (still on Monday) because last night we slept at the mission house and woke up early today and went and hiked the biggest volcano here with President and his wife. It was super fun but I got sooo burnt, im like a tomato. Anyway, here's the letter.

So first off it was another super duper week down here in Puebla.  We are just getting blessed soooo much and receiving miracles. So we went and passed by all our inv. in the morning before church and got absolutely skunked and we were super down but then they all just wandered in about 10 minutes late and we ended up having 8 Inv. there in church.

Our sweet family of Miguel Angel is just doing awesome. We talked super direct with them this week about the Sabbath day and gave them the commitment to talk to there bosses and they accepted and both got permission to come to church today. They are seriously the best, they invited us over to eat lunch yesterday. Migueal (the dad) drinks a little and has had that habit for the past 40 years. He ran away from home at 13 and then was in the military for 15 years after. He has such the strong desire to change though and he knows that its not going to be the easiest thing but that it is possible with Christ. All the members commented to us today that they look just like a normal member family. Were pretty stoked and they are progressing well to there baptism.

Our atheist, Jorge Cruz is back in the game to. We found him the other day after he was in Mexico City forever and he came to church today haha. He has some super weird comments because he just knows so much about tons of weird stuff and is just always reading books. He is changing though, he no longer denies that God exists and told us today that he would be fine being christian. He is about 30 years old and has a long pony tail of hair ha.

Our miracle of the day!!!!!!!!! So we got done with the first hour of church and got up to leave to go to the next class and there was SYLVIO, in the back row sitting!!!!!!! After about 3 weeks that we have lost contact with him he just magically showed up to church. Today was his rest day so we took advantage of it and had a super powerful lesson with him and were super direct and asked him if he would search and leave his work so that he could assist each Sunday and he said YES!!!!!! We put a date with him for the 5 of March and are so stoked. He did drink the other day though so keep him in  your prayers that he can leave it behind.

On Saturday we had our sweet conference with E. Oaks. We got to shake his hand and everything. Along with him came E. Clayton and 2 more seventy so it was flat out sweet and we learned some great stuff and the spirit was just so strong. I never realized how funny of a guy he is. One thing that stuck out to me that he said is that "You know that you are teaching by the spirit when you learn something from what you say" also he talked a lot about how we can be a successful missionary and help be better teachers. We also had the opportunity to do some Qs and answers and it was so funny cause he explained nicely not to ask "stupid questions" and then the first question that was asked was by a crazy elder in our mission about the 7 sealed books hahahahahha. It was pretty funny and I think we will say that this elder is from the south mission.

We moved into our new house this past Monday and it is sooo nice. We have a couch and a big fridge and more than 2 tiny rooms. So were pretty stoked.

Also, we started to do our first sets of changes this past Wednesday and as of right now looks like I will be staying here for another 6 weeks and 6 months in the area. I was kinda hopin to go just work for 2 changes but its alright and I will do whatever President and the Lord wants. This next change on the calendar it is just training after training that we have so it will be pretty busy.

Mom! Happy Birthday. You are the best, and the bestest mother in the whole wide world and I love you so much. I'm glad you got to come to my country and experience the real Mexican life and the weird food that we eat down here. Love ya.

That's it fam, love you guys so much and have a great week.
