Hey Fammmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! So we
just got done playing some soccer and I must say that I still have my power
kick as good as ever. I kicked it so hard today and totally broke a window in
the church hahahhahaha. It was kind of an awkward experience but now I can
officially say I have broken a window with a ball.
So we just had a ROCKSTAR week
this past week!!!!!!! We pulled some numbers that I have never seen before. We
decided at the first of this week that we were just going to go crazy and
expect miracles and the lord provided. To end the week we have 11 dates for
baptism, 10 Inv that came to church and 20 New Investigators, were feeling
super good right now and the lord is just raining down his blessings. We just
have to change the mindset of the missionaries here and get them to realize
that they can do so much more and should expect so much more. We feel like
little by little we are getting the missionaries focused on that they are here
to baptize!
So last Sunday me and a
secretary were working together and we were just looking for miracles and new
investigators and found a guy who was drinking a little. I decided to contact
him and he expressed to us the desire he had to stop drinking and to have a
better united family and God in his life. We set an Apt. and went back and
visited him on Tuesday. We got there thirty minutes late and he was right in
his house waiting for us and we had a very powerful lesson with him and put a
date for baptism. The next day we visited him and his wife was there to and we
taught the restoration and put a date with her. Then the next day there son was
there to and we taught the Book of Mormon and put a date for him. We
passed by for them yesterday and they were waiting outside for us, all dressed
up in church clothes ready to go to church and they just absolutely loved it.
The dads name is Miguel Angel and his wife is Carla and there son is named
Miguel too (typical Mexico) They look like they have been members for there
whole lives and we are soooo excited for them.
We also had 5 other new Inv.
come to church for the first time but I have to write fast so Ill make sure to
tell yall about them the next time. Francisca and Fernanda went out of town so
they were not able to attend but hopefully all is still well.
Saturday night we were walking
in the street after a good day and it just hit me how much im going to miss the
mission. Its truly amazing and is the best thing that I could have done in my
life. I just love to watch people change and look as this Gospel blesses the lives
of them. My comp told me yesterday that we have less than 100 days left before
we go home. I feel great about what Ive done this far in the mission and know
there is still so much time and so many more lives to bless. I just hope when i
come home that I feel like I left it all here.
Were getting the wards support
here little by little as they have seen that people have been coming to church.
On Saturday the young men did a mission activity and were able to come with us
for 2 hours and we were able to go on 4 way divisions. Hopefully we can get
refs someday from them!
So our house situation is
finally getting resolved. Were actually going to move into our new house right
now. So our old landlord told us we had to be out last Tuesday of the house
where we were living and our new house still wasnt going to be ready so we have
been living 6 of us in the secretary's house hahahha. It has been pretty
crazy in a little house with 1 bathroom but its been pretty fun but were ready
to get to our house here today woo woo
The mission is getting super
excited for E. Oaks on Saturday. The south mission will be hosting it so it
will be a little weird seeing all of them. We have been practicing our special
musical number so that we can bring the spirit ha. President is leading and
good thing hes nice cause im just a flat out terrible singer. We have
changes in 2 weeks and 2 of the secretarys will be leaving so there
replacements came in today to get trained.
Thats about it fam. Life is so
great and I am so blessed. I love you guys so much and am so grateful to be a
missionary.
