So
im pretty sure this week has been the most stressful week in my life, so
last Monday i told you we went to get blood tests and were waiting for
the results. So on Monday
the plan was to get the results back and then take them directly to the
judge because they ask for all the papers 10 days before the marriage
so we were already way late butttt we could not get the results back
until Tuesday, so Enrique went and got them Tuesday
morning and then we found out they spelt Gaby´s name wrong so we had to
go back and fix it and then we could not get a hold of the judge all
that day so we were freaking out and calling everyone and could not find
anyone. So pretty much everything was just going wrong and we thought
we would have to change the baptism for the next week. So after calling
everyone in the world we still couldn't find anything so in Wednesday
we fasted and the judge called us that night and apologized and was out
of town and told us to send him the papers and that he would work
really hard so that they could keep their goal for their baptism and
marriage. So we sent him the papers and were super relieved.
Friday
morning the plan was to meet at the church at 10 to travel to the
marriage place for our appointment at 11. So we got there plenty early
and waited and waited and Enrique and Gaby didn't show up til 10:40
and then when we got there we could tell something was wrong because
Gaby was just like mad or something haha so we talked to her and she
asked us....what happens if i don't want to get married anymore, and when
we heard that our hearts just dropped so we talked to her a little bit
and she had just had such a bad day and felt like it was a sign that she
was doing something wrong but the member who took us was really good
and on the way just shared about his marriage and how hard it was the
few days leading up to it and that Satan is super strong and all that
good stuff. I don't really know what really happened because i was in a
Taxi with the other missionaries but, god must of touched her heart and
she went through with it.
The marriage was
such a sweet experience, the judge was a 25 year old returned missionary
and he shared some really neat things with them and i think gave them a
lot of peace. It was pretty fun because we were witnesses, or whatever
its called and got to sign papers and all kinds of stuff hehe. So after
they got married we took them to lunch because i mean its a special day
and they had absolutely no money. And hen we just played games with them
in their house for a couple hours haha and it was just good to relax
and enjoy good times.
Saturday
everything worked out perfect. We had tons of members come to their
baptism and it was just a special day. I baptized Enrique and my
companion, Gaby. The spirit was so strong and they are so content with
everything. This gospel has changed their life and especially Gaby, she
is a totally different person than we knew 2 months ago. Yesterday, they
were confirmed and paid their tithing right first thing. Im seriously
so happy. Satan tried so many different things to get this family not to
come into this Gospel but like always in the end god won and this
gospel is changing their lives.
That's about it for this week, we really haven't done anything but the marriage. We received bad news that Marisol doesn't have interest anymore in getting
baptized so that was a bit sad, win some and ya lose some. Now its time
to find new people and to start from square one haha. Love you guys so
much, we saw miracles this week and this gospel is so true.
