Story of this week... RAIN; RAIN; and a
little more RAIN: Wow, mom, do you remember that picture of the missionary before i left that was in some rain up to his knees, yep that
was me this week. No joke, it has just dumped here, every single day
after 4 until about 10 at night it just comes and comes and comes. I'm
pretty sure that is why my shoes have died so fast, this last week was
really sad as i had to throw away the eccos for good because they weren't
walk able anymore. Now its time to move on to my brown shoes, so we
will see how long those last me.
So you would
think because of the rain that everybody would be in their house just
chillin but that was not the case this week, I don't really know where
the people went this week because they were neither in their house or in
the street. Im pretty sure they all ran away somewhere together. Right
now we have one investigator, Clotilde who is the blind woman and her
family. Shes pretty sweet and is really sensitive to the spirit and her
family is starting to come around little by little. The hardest thing is
getting her to come to church because obviously she cant see and needs
the support of her family, but hopefully this week she will come.
Besides her we have no one, we have dropped every single investigator
and are in the pursuit of finding new investigators so its going to be a
bit slow for a while but the Lord will always bless us and lead us to
the people if we are doing what we should so i have no doubts that they
will come.
This week we had our last Zone
conference with President and he talked about lots of very interesting
things. One thing that stood out to me is that lots of missionaries in
their letters always write about how hard of the week they had and all
that kind of stuff and he told us that he just loves it when we have
hard weeks and suffer a little bit haha. Then we talked about this a
little bit, he said "the question isn't why am i suffering because this
is part of why we are here and were going to have many chances to
suffer. The question is what will i do and how will i react to this hard
week. How did this hard week help me become more like Christ. Without
suffering a little bit we cant change and become more Christlike. In
Romans 8:17
it talks about that we are children of god and that we can inherit all
that he has but it says IF we suffer a little bit like Christ." There's a Mormon message called missionary work and the atonement, if you guys haven't watched it you need to watch it, its my favorite.
HAHA
so some elders here, like 4 have gotten chicken poz this past week from
a little girl in their ward. And i guess now it is super contagious and
they cant leave their house for 6 weeks hahahahaha one of the elders
even is going home in two week and now will have to wait the six weeks
hahahahha poor guys.
That's about it family,
Life is so good right now even though we really don't have anything but
hey, its good to start over from square one and suffer a little bit to
find those new investigators. They are out there, we just gotta find
them. Love you guys so much and have a super duper week. Toodles.
