Kinda a weird week this past week with
lots of just little weird things. So my comp has had some sweet red eyes
for the past like month and finally this past tuesday we went to the
doctor to get them checked out and i guess his 7 months a s secretary in
front of the computer all day everyday did some damage to his eyes so
they did some stuff and got him classes but all day tuesday and some of
wednesday we were in our house because they put some stuff in his eye
that he was like seriously blind hahahha it was so dang funny and made
me laugh a little bit.
On friday we had our
last zone leader party/meeting all day in presidents house and it was
flat out sweet. One thing president has shared with us in our zone
conference were the traits of the best missionaries and in our zone
leader meeting he shared the same thing but the best leaders.
1- They are 100 % converted to the gospel
2-Represent christ in the way we live
3-Work with Urgency
4-Give correction with lovve and patience
5-Talk how things really are
6-Are not defensive
7-Are confident but not arragant
I love this list and i really think its important that all of us try having these traits because it will help us super much.
So
my birthday kinda was a little weird, Mom im sorry but i didn't get a
cake smashed in my face so i wont be sending any pics of that home haha
we did actually have planned to have a little party with the members
that we ate with on Saturday but when we showed up to their house they
had disappeared who knows where haha but i did enjoy a nice romantic
lunch with my comp in our house so that was pretty sweet. President and
sister Christensen called me and sang me happy birthday and im just so
grateful for them and dont want them to leave in 2 weeks, it brand back
so many memories of grandma call haha good times. And i did burn a shirt
for my bday and 1 yr mark so that was pretty exciting stuff.
SO
i got to read a lot during the time when my comp was blind and mom ive
been thinking on and off about your experience in the temple and found a
sweet quote that i really like "when we do finally pass through the
veil that separates us and the celestial kingdom, it will not be as
individuals who have done our parts. It will be holding hands with Jesus
Christ. On that sacred day there will be no he and I - Only We" I love
this quote and that's one thing ive learned so much in my mission, that
we are never alone and the importance of the atonement in our lives. Ive
been thinking a lot about my past year and this next year that i have
here and what i want to achieve. I really don't care how many baptisms i
have or anything like that our mission actually doesn't baptize very
many. All i want is when i come home on that plane that i know that i
left it all here and that i don't have any regrets. If i achieve that
goal i will be happy with whatever outcome.
On Thursday i got to interview a 20 year old for baptism and baptism
interviews are one of my favorite thing to do. It is just so great to
see how this gospel has changed people and the experiences that they
have had and how they developed their testimony. It was such a great and
spiritual experience.
Were still on the
pursuit of new investigators here haha their all hiding i guess but
sooner or later we will find them. That's about it fam, I love you guys
so much and love my mission and hope this next year is just great.
