WOW my life has changed a lot this past
week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off we are opening area in the libertad
sur. I was in this same stake my second area anIi am right in downtown Puebla and the best part......................We have a Walmart in our
area hahaha it is flat our heaven there and I can buy lots of food and
bread and all that good stuff. We just got done with a zone activity and
we watched Meet the Mormons and I must say, it was pretty sweet even f
it was in spanish but i could understand the majority of it.
The
second big news is..................I am district leader here
hahahahahahahaha! I kinda expected it but I absolutely love it and guess
who is in my district???? Elder Law and his
companion and 8 sister missionaries hahahhahahahahahahha! This is the
biggest district I've been in and I feel like I'm not a district leader
but instead president of the relief society!!! I am just glad I
learned alot about patience in my first area because i am sure i will
get to use a lot of it here. But my life really has changed, before this
change i was always in bed by like nine thirty just because I am so dang
tired. But now I am on the phone ALLLLLL night every night til ten thirty. Yesterday i was on the phone from eight to ten thirty
in the night but i love it a lot and I'm hoping I can be a good leader
for them.. We are in the kind poor part of our district, but the other
parts of my district is where president lives so you can say we are kinda
in the rich area.
So my new companion is Elder
Zamora and he is from California and can speak perfect Spanish and English so that's pretty fun, but I'm always telling him i don't want to
speak English because i know my Spanish will suffer. He has four months
in the mission. The one bad thing about district leader is that lots of
times you have the kinda badder companions or either a really young
companion and I have both. I really hope i can have patience with him
because sometimes i just wants to throw him to the ground haha. He's just
kinda a girl and i know why because he told me he comes from a family
with 4 girls and him so he never had those big brothers to beat on him.
It's just kinda hard because he sleeps til 8 and then takes
forreverrrrrr getting ready and besides that...walking in the sun for more
than ten minutes really hurts him hahahaha. But its all good and i know
ill be grateful for this experience because i will learn alot.
So
we are opening this area again, i am so glad i've done it before because now i
realize its just going to take time and you're going to be lost a lot and
for probably the first 2 or 3 weeks your numbers probably won't be very
good. At least this time the elders left us an updated carpeta, we dont
really have any great investigators but hey they are out there and we
will find them. The main difference from this area from my last is that
there are no people on the streets. My last area was just crazy and
people were everywhere but here its like a zombie village.
Our
ward is flat out interesting. Remember that one time we went to
sacrament in the hospital when grandma call was sick, ya thats how i
fell hahha. This ward is so old, serious probably half the ward is over
60 haha and a third in wheelchairs it's flat out funny. They are a good
ward the problem is that they want to help us, but it's just hard to come
with us when they are in wheelchairs, but hey on the brightside we have a
sweet ward mission leader unike my last area (where he was inactive) so I'm pretty stoked about it.
Thats about it
family. Life is great and i just love seeing the growth in me and seeing
little miracles everyday. Oh and by the way, this week i got the first
package you sent me. AFTER FOUR MONTHS. It was so great and i ate it all in
the first night. It was BOMB. I love you guys so much!
