Family!!!!!1
Such a good week here, seriously the best week in this area.
First
off...............Emioion was baptized yesterday at seven thirty in the
morning hahahahahhahahhahaha because he wanted to see who his true
friends were and im happy to say that we actually had quite a bit of
people show up from the ward. It was a great experience and the spirit
is so strong. It was so funny becaues the water was freezing cold and
you could tell by my comps face and Emilio's noises that they were
suffering a bit haha but still it was a great moment. Emilio shared his
testimony and it is just strong and he is so excited and really is
changing. He always calls us missionaries the sharks haha but his family
is super catholic and his wife and daughter didnt come to the baptism
but hopefully little by little they can see his example and warm up. He
is super well off, he is probably one of the top guys here in tlaxcalla
and i dont know what he does but i know he has tons of businesses and
has invented this camera that has been huge. We have lunch with him this
afternoon so im looking forward to that.
Second thing......I have changes
tomorrow.
hahaha I don't know really how i feel about it because this week was
just sweet. So we have four elders in our ward and all of us have
changes but my little son Elder Chacon haha so he's going to be returning
tomorrow with three newbies in the area but he's ready and will do good.
This
week we had tons of sucess. We have really struggled with finding new
investigators here because the ward doesn't give references but this week
we found two golden investigators. One is the nephew of someone in our
ward and his name is Matchal and he is 21. He is methodist but is
looking to change because of the problems that he has had. He has been
to church two times and is ready for baptism if the Book of Mormon is
true. The other is named Justino, we had been contacting like crazy and
its never really effective but i have a strong testimony that maybe your
not going find many through it but your going to recieve so many
blessings. And that was what happened with justino, we were walking and
he actually stopped us in the street which never happens unless their
drunk and asked us what time our church was and that hes always been
interested with the mormon church. He is 50 years old and was a priest
for the catholic church but things happened and he knows it isnt true
and is looking for a new path to his life. He says hes passed our church
many times and always feels like he should enter but just never does.
SO hopefully Elder Chacon can get them in the water. We also made great
progrss with the familia Preciado and their daughter is doing all the
young women activities so that is sweet.
This week we have been sharing with the members a Mormon Message by James B Wirthlin that's called "The S
unday Will Come" and it is way sweet. It talks about the F
riday that Christ was crucified was just such a dreary and dark day but that following S
unday
when he resurrected was just the opposite and so beautiful. And he just
relates it to our life how were going to have lots of those Fridays and
it's going to be tough but always, always, always, always, the
Sunday
will come and what a marvelous day that will be. It's the same with the
mission. When we arrived here it was bad, and we had one investigator
that we dropped after the first lesson. The first 6 weeks we never had
an investigator in church but little by little that changed and now this
area is actually a pretty good area.
This week has been
CARNIVAL haha and they go flat our nuts. Everybody is going crazy and is
dressed up and dancing. Im going to miss this place, its been a really
fun city and is flat our beautiful and is the happening plave.
That's
about it family, I'm so glad to hear that union won and hopefully they
can get a playoff game and that's crazy that people are getting mission
calls, that's way sweet and I'm way proud of Cody. Love you guys and
pray that I go to a sweet area.
