September 15, 2014

The question that you guys have all been waiting to hear...Did Guadalupe get baptized..............NO awhhhhhhhhh i have no clue what happened. So the baptism was set for five on Saturday and we were in our area around three that same day and went to meet Guadalupe and we found him and all was well and we had to go get stuff ready for the baptism and the plan was that Chalo would pick him up around four for the baptism. SO we went and got stuff ready and about 4 30 we called Chalo to see if all was fine and if he had Guadalupe and i dont know what happened but he has disappeared off the face of the earth. We have no clue where he is and hopefully we can find him today. Cause all we did yesterday was search for him but with no success. So that was really a bummer and i was a little ticked off.

But on the bright side we did have the baptism for Naomi and she is just flat out awesome. She has a great testimony and knows this church is true. Shes pretty much left everything for this church, her family does not support her and her decision at all because everyone in these small little cities are super catholic and she even moved to a new place cause she wasn't married to her husband. SO that was really cool.

Even though Guadalupe was not baptized on Saturday it was still a good day and we still had the after party for Guadalupe's baptism slash my companions birthday and that was really fun. I got all the men into arm wrestling and we had a tournament and I must say I feel pretty strong arm wrestling the Latinos and I whip them haha. Some of the stuff they do at birthday parties is just flat out weird to me. First of all they sing a five minute song and it goes on and on and on and then they take a sweet delicious cake and they smash the persons whose birthday it is head in the cake. It is really strange and i don't get it but anyways it was really fun. Today and tomorrow is Mexican independence day and this is like their biggest holiday where everyone goes crazy so needless to say our president is making everyone be in their houses early tonight ha. Our mission president and wife are flat out awesome and sister Christensen is always telling us Americans if we need something from Costco to let her know so I had her get me a big old thing of pancake mix.

I have some bad news, do you guys remember that little leprechaun that always stole my stuff like a year ago, well he ha found me again and this time he is stealing my pictures. I have no clue what is going on but my camera deleted all the pictures i have so that was kind of a bummer but hopefully it won't do it again.

The good news for this week was we started teaching Enrique again!!!! haha hes my favorite even though hes a little bum sometimes and didn't come to church yesterday. But we had a really good week with him and had a couple lessons and he came to elder Gallegos birthday and he even came to Puebla for a meeting where our mission president talks to the investigators and teaches the lesson so that was sweet. And he was able to ask president all of his questions.

That's about it for this week, hopefully we can find Guadalupe and get him in the water this week. All is well and i love it here. The church is true, i feel the spirit so much and its great. Mom get feeling better and I'll keep praying for ya, dad, good luck at the marathon, I'm really impressed that you're doing it and I never thought it would actually happen, Roo are you alive and ever going to write your bro haha maybe you have and it just hasn't gotten to me, probably because I have yet to receive anything here. I love you guys and have a great week
