This week was flat out nuts, we just had so many odds and end things to do and tons of meetings to go to so we didn't really even work in our area but hey we got lots of stuff out of the way and conference was sweet. I always thought conference was sweet just because we didn't have to go to church and i got to play with legos and stuff like that but now it is just so much sweeter now that im on the mission. Its good to take a two day little break and just listen to God speak thorugh his prophets. I loved tons of messages but i really liked the message by President Uchtdorf sunday morning i think when he talks about that many of us are making the gospel to complicated.Its so true though, really like bo says all we need to do is read and pray and go to church and if we do those things then there's no way we are going astray and the rest will follow. They also really seemed to focus alot on mothers, faith and keeping the sabbath day holy. I'm so grateful that we have living prophets and i feel super spiritually jacked and ready for another six months, it's crazy , that i just have one more conference then im home.
We had another leadership council this week, our mission had kinda a bad month of september and we had the lowest number of baptisms in two years. But need not fear, it was just a bad month and well get it turned around. We have some problems with the mission and obedience right now so we talked a lot about correction because as leaders that's one of the most important things that we do. I always remember Dave W. telling me to not worry when he is yelling of correcting me but to worry when he stops doing it, because that means he's lost his hope in me. I use this alot and it helps me alot when I'm correcting my district leaders.
SO we have some good news, we put a date for baptism for Marc Antonio. We had a super spiritual lesson with him and we left 2 nephi 31 for him to read so we started talking about if he readit and the things that he learned, he then told us all about it and that one day he would really like to do what nephi said and get baptized. So we quickly changed the lesson plan and talked about baptism and put a date for the 21 of Nov and he accepted. Now we just have to get these investigators to come to church.
Our next prosperous investigator is Jaime, he is super sweet but is just so attached to Guadalupe. So were haveing some troubles with that because of course God isnt going to answer your prayers when your wearing your guadalupe shirt and praying to her picture haha but he is reading and praying and wants to assist but just is in the second turn for volkswagon so he is working when church is. We have lots of hope in him and need to talk about Guadalupe with him...its going to be awkward
Me and my comp are getting along alot better now that the first week, weve now figured eachother o9ut and are working really good together, hes my first comp that does exercise with me so thats pretty fun and he likes to clean so ill take it!!!!"
Thats about it family, I love life, i love my family, and i love this gospel and i love being a missionary!!!!
