So
first off we FINALLY had some investigators come to church WOO WOO. So Marc Antonio who has a date for the 21 along with his mom and two
daughters and wife and mother in law (who is actually a member) all came
to church yesterday, so the three week curse has now been broken. They
absolutely loved it and felt of the spirit, the only bad thing is that
in gospel principles we talked about the 12 tribes of Israel so that was
a bit confusing and even went over the top of my head but besides that
all is great. This week we had a family home evening with them and
watched meet the Mormons, which i just love and is really a great way to
share the gospel and a great tool to show people that were not that
weird and all the weird stuff that they hear is a flat out lie. So they
are doing great and progressing.
We were super direct with Denise this week and we actually put a baptism date with her too for the 21 of November but... she did not come to church BUT it is all good and ya win some and ya lose some.
We
found a sweet new family of new investigators. They are called the Mayo
family, well i guess its just a husband and wife and we contacted them
one day and they accepted and on Saturday
we went to hunt them down and they actually let us in and talked our
ear off and told us there whole life story. It was a super funny lesson
and we were teaching about God and his physical attributes so we read
the scripture in Genesis 1:26
that says god created us in his image and gave us dominion over the
animals and fish....So we then asked him in whose image it was that god
created us and he said the fishes hahahah it was honestly the funniest
thing and he was super serious but i could not help it and just busted
up laughing. Needless to say it was an interesting lesson but he did
accept the baptism invitation so we will see what happens.
So this week we have had a great turn around with our zone, we actually had great numbers this week. We had our zone conference on Wednesday
and we were thinking about what we wanted to do and how to motivate
this zone. So we read Alma 24 about the anti Nephi Lehies when they
buried there weapons, which is my favorite story and then we did an
activity where we each chose something that we wanted to bury and leave
behind once and for all and then we went outside and buried it in the
church lawn. Then we wrote a letter to ourselves that were going to open
when we end our missions about what we want to achieve and that good
stuff. Needless to say, with the help of the lord, our zone is doing a lot better and were seeing miracles.
That's
about it family, life is just great and my companion keeps telling me
that im talking in my sleep in Spanish, so i couldn't be happier. Love
you guys so much!
