To Mary’s Family:
I first met Mary on a Friday night as Uintah and Union
squared off for the big rival game. I
was the point guard for Union and she was team manager for Uintah. We made a
deal that whoever’s team lost, the other had to go to the other’s town so we
could get to know each other. Fortunately, it was the best night of my
basketball career!
The next day Mary came to Roosevelt and Ii remember that Saturday night and
just thinking how much energy she had. And
even one time as she was running to the car she slipped on some ice and fell
right on her back. After that night we continued to get to know each other and I
soon realized how special of a girl she was .
She would do anything for anyone and truly brightened this
world with her smile and personality. She shared her favorite quote with me as I
started my mission and was having some difficult times: "Everything
will be ok in the end, if it’s not ok then it is not the
end."
I know that she is truly happy right now and is
probably up in heaven talking out Savior’s ear off!
Love,
Cado
