Good to get back in the swing of things this last week
and just to focus on the work. I feel like I haven't written you guys
forever about life and the area. First off me and my comp are
starting to get along alot better. The first couple weeks I would just
let him do whatever he wanted and sleep in and what. Now I dont
take it anymore hahaha and we have had some really sweet companionship inventories and now were getting alot better and he's even waking up on
time woo woo.
So I don't have many investigators to
update you guys on because this week we have decided to drop every
single person but Juan and john because they just weren't progressing and
we can spend our time alot better than searching for people who are
never home and really are not interested haha. BUT, juan and john
have made some sweet progress. They have been in mexico city
this last weekend so they didn't come to church yesterday but the last week they
came to church and they really liked it. They are so funny, most
investigators tell you that everything is fine and they don't have
questions or doubts but with these two they tell you every little thing
that is on their mind and spend the whole week thinking about really
deep questions to ask us hahahha! Needless to say we have learned to take
a very smart member with us every time because sometimes we have no
clue the answers. But they are sweet and they buy us pizza every time we
go there and our lessons last 3 hours because they just have so many
questions. We haven't put a date yet with them for baptism because they
want to know everything and then decide, but for now they are going swell
We
have been working tons with inactivos in this area, that's just a part of the spanish mission I've learned, a big part of your work is with
the inactives because there are pages and pages of them haha. We have
made some sweet progress with a 32 year old named Efrain and he has been
coming to church and everything. He is solo and is searching for
exaltation haha and he found this one girl on a Mormon website that he
thought was the one but she was from Honduras and they never even met
but she crushed his heart this week. haha but it's all good and it
probably never was going to work out.
I think I've told you guys that this ward is so old, and we have one section in
our area where they all live super close and we love visiting them because they're lonely and they like to tell us stories about everything.
One's named is hermano martines and he is 85 years old and is just a
fireball and has so much energy. We asked him how it is possible, and he
said, if you guys want to be happy and healthy when your older you need
to do three things... Sing, Laugh and Dance hahahha I thought that was
pretty funny and a pretty good way to live life.
On Thursday
we had zone conference and we talked tons about anger. Because lost of
missionaries get really angry. President shared a funny scripture with
us in proverbs 19 21....It is better to dwell in the wilderness that
with a contentious and an angry woman.....haha I thought that was pretty
funny and true. Before the mission I was sometimes kinda a little angry
boy. I have no clue why but I think I've improved alot haha
All
is well family, life is good. District leader is going great and i
interviewed two people for baptism this past week so that was pretty
sweet. Mom for your questions, the rainy season starts in June til October. Right now it is the hottest time of the year and we are dying
and as for my debit card i have no clue when it expires, ive never even
used it so ya haha. love you guys so much.
