Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

I am so glad this week is over. It has been a roller coaster this week and probably the hardest week of my life but i love this scripture because its so true. When we have trials like this Christ is always going to be with us and we are going to learn and feel things that we have never learned of felt before in our lives.

I have studied absolutely tons this week cause the first few days i couldnt sleep at all. I have a favorite Mormon message that out mtc teacher shared with us before we left and i watch it still tons. Its called missionary work and the atonement by elder Holland and Elder Eyring. and it just talks about the struggles of missionary life. One of my favorite parts says something like this ¨To really come to salvation, to come to the truth we must feel something that the savior felt here on the earth¨ When i talked to president on Tuesday he asked me a question that ive never thought about before. He asked me, how do you think christ and god feel up there in heaven, and he told me that he knows they are rooting for us down here and are super proud of some of us but for the most part they are probably very sad as their children arent following this great plan, as they are killing eachother, robbing eachother etc and etc. Then i kinda related that to this quote that at one point in our lives we will all have the opportunity to feel kinda like they do, very sad. But also in the movie it says, if we can learn to love the atonement that it will carry us. Ive read a whole book on the atonement this week and it relates the atonement to the sacrament. It says, when the priest flubs up on the prayer what happens. We cant look past the mistake but what does he get, unlimited chances until he gets it right. Its the same with the atonement, god is so merciful on us and we get unlimited chances, however long it takes.

I have come to realize this week how grateful i am that i have this great gospel. Because when we have situations like we had this week only through the gospel and the atonement can we find hope and peace to keep going.

And you now therefore have sorrow, but i will see you again and your heart shall rejoice and your joy no man taketh from you John 16:22

I so so grateful for the chance i had to know Mary. She was truly great and taught us all so much, especially about just being a friend to all and to just go out of your way to serve others. I am so grateful for this gospel and that we know that this isn't the end and that we will see each other again.

Love ya Family
