So
three weeks ago this 50 year old man showed up to church with a member
and his name is Emilio and he is just flat out awesome. SO the first
week he showed up in just his normal clothes and he's kinda one of the
richer Mexicans so we put a lesson for the next Sunday
at 10 before church but thought that he would probably not show up like
most others, but the next week we got to church at ten and their he was
waiting for us and he had a white shirt on and had his i pad with all the
hymns and scriptures and everything on it even the manuals for the
classes haha so we were pretty excited and put another lesson for
yesterday at 9 and sure enough he showed up right at nine ready for the
lesson with a suit on and combed hair and everything. It was sweet and
he is progressing so much and loves everything about the church. The
first two weeks he told us that his family had no clue where he was at,
but yesterday when he left the house with a suit and the book of Mormon
he basically had to tell them what he was doing and he said he really
hopes that they will listen to and that h'es going to present us to them
this week. I'm pretty sure he will get baptized soon, he already has 3
times in church and is asking questions like what he needs to do to be
baptized and all that stuff. It is just so cool to see the gospel change
people little by little and i love it. The only bad thing is hes in the
other area so i won't be able to do anything with him but hopefully the
other elders stay golden with him. We also have two dates for baptism
with Isabel and Miroslava in the other area not for this Saturday but they next they are also sweet.
We baptized Ricardo on Saturday!!!!!!
HAHA it was pretty sweet because we have been teaching him like crazy
because i really wanted to baptize him before we had to return to our
area and we did it. He is sweet and he went on divisions with us on Sunday
and i just love baptisms and feel the spirit so much and am really glad
for this baptism because it was just what i needed because Friday
was just a terrible day and all of our lessons fell through and it
seemed like we only contacted Jehovah witnesses which is always a great
experience and i was kinda ticked off and sad haha but at the baptism i
was just overwhelm with the spirit and peace and it was just flat out
sick that's one thing ive learned that sometimes God gives you
all you can take but right when your about to give up he comes down and
swoops you up
SO this week is the celebration
of the kings and everybody eats this cake bread thing that is called pan
de reyes and we have eaten so much of it this past week. It has little
dolls in it and is pretty weird but i remember doing it in preschool one
of my 6 years haha and we had cake and one piece had a little doll in
it so it brought me back to preschool haha
This
week we have been sharing a Mormon message with members and its called
"come what may" and love it. Its super sweet and my favorite part is when
it says if something bad happens just laugh and smile and keep going. So
you guys should go watch it.
Dad ive been
thinking about deep conversion a little bit and this is what i got... NO
witness until after the trial of our faith ether 12:6, It is impossible
to have a testimony of something without first living it.....True
conversion occurs as you live the gospel of Jesus Christ day after day,
month after month and year after year....True conversion is a process
and not an event, its going to take work, effort and time.
Family that is about all. Life is good and Come what may I'm just going to love it. We have to go back to our area tomorrow
but its all good we will just keep going. Family i love you
guys so much and roo track is good but just remember to keep practicing
tennis too because the summer i get home we are going to work!!! Love
you guys and have a great week
