Family, another solid week from the Mexico puebla Mission. After this week i can now say that now what real rain is. On wednesday thursday and friday
from about 2 to 8 it poured. And it is totally didfferent from utah
rain, here its like people are just dumping five gallon buckets of water
on you time after time needless to say we have been soaked.
The good nes of the week is that Guadalupe now has a baptism date. WOO WOO for september 7.
Right now he is so golden. We taught him all the hard stuff this week
like chastity, titheng, word of wisdom and he accepted all of it and its
way sweet cause its just like it makes so much sense to him. He came to
church yesterday even though he scared us and showed up 55 minutes
late, but it still counts. Now he only needs two more sundays. As for
Enrique im sorry to say that we are no longer teaching him cause im not
sure why, i thought our lesson we had with him was very good this week
then the following day i asked my comp when we were teaching enrique
again and my comp told me that was our last lesson and enrique didnt
want anymore haha needless to say ill be really glad for the day that i
can understand what their saying. I probably get like one out of every
five words that they say cause by the time i translate a word into
english in my head theyve already said five more ha.
I got to go on exchanges this week with an american
zoneleader because my comp is district leader so that was super good. I
had no clue when you went on exchanges that you spent the night in the
other area. It was good to talk in english for a day and i learned alot
of stuff from this elder. I now know why i prob wont ever have a
american comp in my mission because when two white guys are together
people yell at you tons haha but if your with another latino its all
good. I learned that the area that we are in is the biggest area in the
mission and that our branch that were in isnt even a branch, its what
they call a group. Our group doesnt have a branch pres of anything, how
they do it is that a member of the bishopric from serdan comes to our
group every sunday. We had zone meeting on wednesday
and i got to see elder davidson my comp from the mtc their which was
really cool. Him and his comp got transferred to our zone two days
earlies because the hermanas their were getting stalked haha you meet
some goofy people on the mission. I had my first experience of someone
else talking while i was saying a prayer, that was really weird. And i
met my first white guy this week other than a missionary that speaks
english and he was telling me about this dark spirit that he sees over
tlxichuca that is our area haha.
Our few members here are way awesome. They are way
involved in everything that we do. We taught one lesson this week and it
was absolutely nuts. Because we had four members with us for some
reason cause they all like live on the same street and saw that we were
teaching and just wanted to come. Just imagine two missionaries, papa
law, blaine, mark dennis and allen wallace all trying to teach an
investigator about the restoration. Needless to say the lesson was kinda
all over the place but it was still good. The other investigators that
we have are all doing alright, pray for pedro, julia, clemente.
We got to do service yesterday and it brang back
great memories of the childhood because we were seriously out in a field
with machetes trying to cut down bushes and little trees haha. I just
kept thinking of being in our field with the brothers and dad doing the
same thing,
We had a way powerful lesson yesterday and it was
way awesome with two brothers and theirr spouses. It was israels family,
israel is the last baptism this place had over a year ago. And he has
been trying to get his family to listen to the missionaries fort the
past year and somehow yesterday got them to. SO we went to their house
and they were about ready to eat so it was suppose to be a quick fifteen
minute lesson. At first they were kinda cold to us but then we had a
sweet hour and a half lesson on the planof salvation and really focusing
it on families. It was just cool to see their countenance change and to
see them warm up to us. You could tell that they felt the spirit and at
the end they had us stay for dinner.
THat is all for this week, I love you guys. The church is true
