November 16, 2015

Hey Family!!!!! Another great week here and life is just so good and we are seeing so many miracles here. So the highlight of the week is that we had 6 Progressing investigators which means that we had 6 investigators who came to church and have a date for baptism and are reading and praying. I have never had 6 before so I know that we are just getting blessed so much for the hard work that we are putting in.

So first is Celsy and her family that I talked about a little bit the last time. We received a scare this week when we were visiting her and she told us that they were moving on the 17 of December and we were crushed because she had her date for the 19 but we found out she could still get baptized and president made a rule change that if they come to a baptism service that it can count and shes actually came to one. So her and her two grandsons have dates for the 5 of December. Her two grandsons are just awesome, they are little sponges and just are eating it up. One is named Carlos and the other Liam, Carlos is having some struggles because his parents really aren't to fond of all of this and don't support him to much but Celsy is just determined to help them and get them on the path because she knows and is determined to receive all the blessings that come with this gospel.

We have been finding and finding new investigators as we try to be examples to this mission as we are trying to change the culture here, and we have truly found some people who are prepared.

We have a 19 year old named Luis who also came to church yesterday and he is reading and reading and just loves it and told us that he felt something that he never felt before yesterday in the church. He truly has the right desire and told us that he still hasn't received an answer and he is praying and reading tons. We told him not to worry and that it will come, in PMG it says that as missionaries to TRUST with all your heart in the book of Mormon promise so i have no doubts.

We also have had some sweet success with some senior citizens which has never happened before on my mission. One is named Victor Leon and we actually found him knocking doors and singing hymns. Its amazing the spirit that hymns brings and he is 75 years old and just lost his wife a moth ago. He accepted us and loves us and I think feels very lonely right now. He also came to church yesterday.

Then we had Maria Sarimiento who is also like 70 years old and is a example of someone that the lord has prepared to receive this message. She is so ready and we taught her and gave her hte pamphlet of L1 to read about the restoration and when we  came back the next time she told us..I just feel like I have the need to have the book of Mormon in my life and were like bammmm we got just the thing and gave her one and she is just great and came to church yesterday and has a date for the 26 of December along with Victor and Luis. It should be a good day after Christmas if all works out.

This week as assistant was just full of divisions and surprise visits. I have learned tons about the mission when you and president just show up at there door at 8 in the morning ready to spend the whole day with them. We have seen lots of things that are pretty sad and lots of Elders who are just falling and losing hope and don't really care to do much but I truly believe we are making a difference and have that we can rescue some of them.

I absolutely love life, it has been so neat just to have tons on 1 0n 1 time with President doing these types of things and hearing his story and just getting all the wisdom from him as i can. I am so blessed and so tired but truly am lovin life.

Mom, please tell little Gager that I love him and that in 6 and a half months we are going to eat shrimp and brownies and watch the Hulk. And congrats Jackson on his Girlfriend, yes i do remember Jurey very well and ya love ya guys super duper. Mom have fun in Orlando!!!!
