Another good, good week down here in Mexico.
Honestly, life is just so great, i don't think that i have every been so
happy in my life and its cause were just getting lost in this great
work and there is really nothing better.
I
guess i will start off with some stuff about the area, so we are super
busy as assistants and always are doing all kind of stuff but were
actually working super hard in our area and President wants our area to
be the model for the mission. We've actually found 30 New investigators
the past 3 weeks and it has just been great. We were kinda bummed last
week when no one came to the church after we worked super hard but this
week we got a good rebound. Lots didn't come but we did have a family of 3
come. It is a grandma named Celsy and she has two grandchildren, Liam
and Carlos who are 9 and 11. They are so sweet and all have a date for
the 19 of December.
We also received another miracle when some investigators who were
listening to the missionaries 4 years ago just randomly showed up to the
church and we were super excited and have a lesson with them tomorrow.
Life continues to be super busy, we are constantly giving trainings or in divisions. On Tuesday
we gave a training to the sister missionary training leaders and
President talked about the gifts that God has given them and he had each
of us take ten minutes and talk about a Sister missionary who has been
here but left that had special gifts. It was kinda weird thinking about
there gifts but made me realize that there are super good sisters and
they truly have gifts that they have been blessed with.
So
we have been on divisions tons, President is such a good sport and is
so great and about 2 times a week one of us and him go do a surprise
visit to some elders and work with them for the day. So on Thursday
President went with E. Page to go visit some Elders out in the middle
of nowhere and they ate at a house where they were super poor and it was
dirt floors and everything. Like my first area and they just ate some
noodles and cheese, so needless to say the following day we had a 6 hour leadership training that we give to the zone leaders and we get a call
from sister Nelson and President woke up so sick and could not move
without going to the bathroom so we ended up giving a 6 hour training
but the last hour, President showed up even though he was super sick and
talked a little and right when he entered after 5 hours with just us
the whole atmosphere just changed. I seriously have so much respect for
the two of them, they are truly amazing people that have been called of
God.
So right now we are in the process of
changing the culture of this mission. Lots of missionaries dont think
you can baptize here and that is a flat out lie, were trying to focus on
on finding and finding and finding because the statistics say that we
baptize 1 out of every 10 which we find, which is really good because
the rest of Mexico is about 24:1 but our problem is that we just have a
hard time finding. We actually doubled in new investigators in the
mission this week compared to the last week so we are super stoked and
were just trying to help the mission have that hunger for baptizing.
That's
about it family, I am honestly so blessed and am learning so much. I
never thought that I would be giving 6 hour training's and things like
that. I feel so blessed and hope to do my best here and help others.
Love you guys so much.
