smokies, I am just so dang happy, our family is BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!
Everything just worked out perfect, they had their interviews on wednesday and all passed and their baptism was on saturday. The lord has blessed us so much and everything has just been perfect. On saturday
was one of the best days of my life, it was just such a sweet
experience. The difference from these baptisms from the others is that
this one was a complete family, and that just makes it so much better. I
got to baptize Miguel and their son Francisco and my companion baptized
Nancy. The spirit was just soooo strong, when they were all baptized
and we were in the bathroom they just all started bawling and were just
so happy. It is amazing to see how this gospel changes people. When we
started teaching them they had tons of problems, they fought alot,
Francisco was a little rebel, Miguel didnt have work and was going
through depressing. Now, Miguel and Nancy work at the same place
together and love it, Francisco is obeying his parents, their not
fighting and they are just a happy family. Honestly it was the best
experience that i have had on my mission. So happy.
I also have great news about Victoria. So the last week i think i told you guys that we put a new date for her for the 11 of october because her boss told her that she had to work for a month and then he would give her every other sunday
off. So after we had that lesson, it just bugged us and we knew it
wasnt the right answer. So we taught her again and were vbery direct
that the commandment was that we dont work any sundays. She is GREAT.
She has so much faith and knows god will provide if she keeps the
commandments. So yesterday she didnt go to work and came to church and
is ready to drop everything and search for a new job if her boss doesn't
come around. She now has 3 times in church so we just need to change her
date and bam, lets go to the water.
This week
also we found some new investigators. First is Denisse. She was a
reference form the page of references that the mission/church uses.
Usually these references never work and the directions are so bad but
this is the first time I have found success with one. So we went and
knocked her door and this family is loaded with money, so it was kinda
weird cause that doesnt happen much. SO it finds out that she has a work
buddy who is mormon and she tol her that the missionaries could give
blessings and the dad of denisse is alcohholic so she wanted us to give
her dad a blessing. So we went there and her dad wasnt there so we put a
date to come back but then she called us like 20 minutes later and told
us to come back and to teach her mom and her. So we went back and had a
sweet lesson and then the next day we went and gave her dad a blessing.
SO we will see what happens sith them.
Thats
about it family. SUch a good week here and Im just so happy, things
couldnt be better. Love you guys so much and have a great week.
