I must say that lots has changed this week. On Tuesday I was kinda surprised when my name popped up as Zone Leader haha I don't
know how i feel, i still feel like i lack so much and I'm still so young
in the mission and only have 9 months but hey i love it and this first
week i have learned lots about what a zone leader does.
So we had changes
on Tuesday and then on Wednesday and Thursday
we spent tons of time doing informes which is for the mission and the
stakes about how each ward is doing and all kinds of numbers and all
that good stuff. Then on Friday
we had an all day meeting in president's house and it was sweet cause we
just talked about the mission and Hermana Christensen made us tons of
food. Then on Saturday
we had another meeting with president and our stake president along
with conference so you can say its been a pretty exciting week and time
is going by way fast cause we're always just doing something.
We
are the Zone leaders of La Paz Sur, it is right downtown Puebla and has
the mission offices in our zone. WE have a lot of work to do here
getting this zone resurrected, it's kinda known as the special zone in
the mission ha because lots of the missionaries who need to be watched
over closely are in this zone because it is the zone of the mission
offices and very close to president. Yesterday we received all the
numbers of everyone and wow they were pretty bad ha and we have some
work to do but hey it will be fun and I'm looking forward to the
challenge.
The best part about being a zone leader is that i have the sickest companion in the world named E.
Insauralde and he's from Paraguay. He was actually zone leader when i got
here but then he went to be secretary for a while and now he's back as zone leader. He has two changes left and goes home with president in June
so i hope i can be with him for these next two changes. He is honestly
so great, and is just a goofball. He's teaching me so much, I've learned a lot about just being real direct with people and just tell them strait
up that they need to repent but with love of course haha.
Our
area is called Los Fuentes and the good news is that this ward finally
got a bishop three weeks ago after 2 years of not having a bishop. It's
pretty funny how lots of things are different here and that a ward went
two years without a bishop. I don't know why but the members here don't
really love us much here for some reason so we don't have much support
but the young men do like us a lot and always come with us to visit
people. I really haven't had tons of time to work in this area and still
don't know it very good but we have lots of investigators who have just
started listening so we will see what happens.
Conference
was super good, I only got to watch 2 of the 5 sessions in English so i
need to download the ones i missed and listen to them. But the ones i
did listen to seemed just to focus on the family and marriage a TON and
Bo Law i think they were talking to you hehehhe jk I don't want you to get
married cause we gonna be roommates.
That's
about it family. Life right now is honestly so good and I love my area, I
love being a zone leader and I especially love my companion. It is soooo
nice having someone who just wants to work and wants to be obedient.
Love ya Fam!!!
