Another week down here in Las Fuentes and I
already have three weeks here and its gone by super duper fast i cant
believe it. It seems like we both have some bad news to share with each other, yours was Bubba the lamb, and ours is.......Our 4 golden
investigators moved one street out of our area AHHHHHHHHHHH haha it
kinda smashed us but we have interviews with president tomorrow
and were going to ask him if we can still teach them because honestly
the missionaries where they moved to are kinda weirdos and I mean it's
salvation that were talking about here so we will see what happens!!!!!
We didn't have any investigators come to church yesterday, I've often found
that after a super good week you will usually have a kinda downer week ,
but then the next week will be a good week so it's just like a roller
coaster. The highlight of this week is that we put 2 more dates for baptism for the 30 of May
with Enrique and Gaby. They weren't able to come to church yesterday
because the dad worked, but they really have a desire to change and to
find God in their lives. They are reading the book of Mormon like crazy
and have tons of super good questions. The importance of the family
really draws their attention and they have lots of questions about the
temple and and marriage now we just need to get them married woo woo
wish us luck.
We have been working tons with a
less active family named La famil Quiroga. There life is just a super
sad life. The husband was murdered 5 years ago and now the mom is trying
to raise 4 kids ages 20, 18 14, 12 and they are just going off the deep
end. Christopher the 14 year old was with his dad when he was murdered
and has a strong desire to get revenge. Hes been into drugs and
everything and we have just been trying to work tons with them that we
can get them back on track before something bad happens. So pray for
them .Yesterday the mom and the 12 year old Moises came to church and
now we just need to get the others back on track and coming to church.
We
have been trying to get this ward going, we have finally been able to
meet up with our bishop and talk to him that we need a ward mission
leader cause it all starts there. If you don't have a ward mission leader
all your plans just go out the window. So this Sunday.....we
got a ward mission leader hahaha and guess who it is....the crazy guy
who taught priesthood class the last Sunday and made all our
investigators very confused haha. But he's good though and has good
intentions, we have a meeting with him tomorrow
so we will see how it goes. We got to give talks yesterday in church on missionary work and it was super good so hopefully it motivates the
ward.
This week we had divisions with the assistants and it was super good and i learned a lot. And really we just
need to be very direct and call people to repentance. One thing I love
about president is that hes always inviting us to repent and most people
look at that as a bad thing but we should always be in the process of
repenting because we should always be trying to become something
better.
This area that were in has some killer
dogs. Their's this one big white dog who is always trying to kill us. We
always have to walk past him and he's sleeping but there's a little chihuahua on the roof that always barks and then he sees us and its game time haha. They need animal control here in Mexico.
That's about it Fam. Life is so good, The mission is so good and I'm learning so much. Love you guys.
