Hey Family!!!! It was great talking to
everyone yesterday and to see your pretty faces and it was a pretty
chill call knowing that I will be home in two weeks. We had a great week and truly are receiving so many miracles.
Inv. Update.
Sirina
is doing SOOO great. We taught the word of wisdom on Tuesday and she
has not drank coffee since. Keep her in your prayers. She is progressing
so good and we are praying and working very hard with her so that we
can get her baptized on the
21st of May,
that would be so great to end the mission like that. She came to church
again yesterday and payed her tithing and only lacks one more
sunday to have 5. This week we also started teaching two of her sisters also so we are pretty excited.
We
have been working lots with Vanessa and Marta because the Dad is in
Mexico working. Their is really nothing we can do with Marta because she
has to get permission from his and there is no way around it but
Vanessa turns 18 the end of May and will be baptized the
4th of June so we are pretty excited for them.
We got the chance to go out to Tlapacoya
on Saturday.
Hno. Delfino has been organizing a huge Mothers Day activity for the
last couple weeks and he really wanted us there. SO we were able to get
permission from P. Nelson to go out by ourselves and it was flat out
incredible. They were able to have over 100 people come and assist their
activity. Thats pretty good knowing that there are only 3 members out
there so 97 non members assisted. We started off with a devotional where
me and my comp both shared messages about mothers and then they served
food to everyone and ended with some Karaoke. We were able to talk to
lots of people and had a good talk with ALbertina and were able to put a
date with her for the
11th of June
and made a good plan to be able to give her the lessons. Keep them in
your prayers, Hno. Delfino and his wife truly are incredible and impress
me so much.
Miracle Story! So about 7 weeks ago me and
and comp contacted a man named Fernando of about 50 years and his mom
Remedios. They both did not live in our area, Fernando lived in
Chignahuagan (the area of E. Page) and Remedios lived in Roma (an area
in Puebla). We always try teaching in the street when it is possible but
if they are not in our area we usually just take their direction and
pass it to the other areas. We had the feeling though that we needed to
teach them. We had a great lesson and put baptism dates with both of
them and then passed the references to the other areas. I kept in
contact with E Page about how they were doing and even had the chance to
teach them a couple times in divisions. They both ended up just being
golden and were baptized this past
Saturday.
Today we went to Chignahuapan to buy some things and I just so happened
to see Fernando in one of the stores and he came and gave me a big hug.
He knows I am going home soon and told me that I have fulfilled my
mission here now because I was a part in changing their lives. It was
truly a touching experience and made me so happy.
Our area
is on fire right now. We have 20 baptism dates for June and truly are receiving so many miracles. That's the one bad thing about the mission,
right when you learn how to work it is time to go home.
And here's the list of what foods Cado wants when he gets home!
First breakfast, biscuits and gravy.
I also want to have Pitas one of the first couple nights
Other items
Choc Milk
Rootbeer
Goldfish
Gummy bears
Frozen fruit and Protein powder if we dont have some in the house
