I'm writing a little bit early today because at 7 pm tonight their is a sweet Brazilian restaurant that me and my comp are going to go to so were changing our schedule around a little bit. And Dayton, the 8 rolls are nothing, you should see how much i can eat now, i don't know whats happened but now i love breakfast and just eat and eat and eat but anyway.....This week was pretty nuts and we were super busy and ran from one thing to another and actually only had 3 days that we even worked in our area.
Victoria continues to be
golden and is progressing just awesomesaucely(That ones for you daddy)
so this week will be the re dedication of the Mexico temple so on Sunday
all the members here in this area will be watching that and a card came
from the area presidency saying that we cant have ordinances on this
day, which was her date for baptism so we changed here date for the 27 of September because on the 21st she is going out of town to see her children that live in another state. But she is just great, she loves this gospel and
recognized the hand of the lord in her life. She has a 20 year old son
that lives with her and whose kinda a little rebel but she wants him to
listen so bad. SO hopefully this week we can teach her son too!!!
Denise and her family are doing great but sometimes it is just so hard to get
someone to come to church grrrrrrrrrr. But her and her mom are both
reading and are super nice to us. Its super weird teaching them because
they are soooo catholic, well besides Denisse and they have more
Guadalupes (the virgin Mary) in their house than you can even imagine.
This just confuses me, i have no clue why they call her Guadalupe but I
guess that is a question for another day.
Nancy
and Miguel and Francisco are doing great (Or should i say
Fernando....haha Dad always says Fernando in his letters) But don't worry
dad, my comp has the same problem, yesterday he gave a blessing and
said Rafael instead of Juan haha) BUt anyways, Francisco and Miguel both
have the priesthood and we eat with them every Sunday. The ward has
been great and has really friend-shipped them. They have been having
family home evenings with the members tons. It will be hard when we
leave but i know they have good relationships with the members so they
will stay active.
This week we had our
leadership council for the Zone Leaders and I just love this meeting. We
talked about tons of different things but focused a lot on service. God
has absolutely everything he needs, he is god, all powerful. We cannot
give him anything besides when we serve our neighbor. It made me think a lot and I want to do more service on the mission.
So here in Mexico they have whatever movie you can imagine for 10 pesos
which is like 60 cents. So last week i bought 10 discs of insanity so I've been starting those and they are flat out kicking my but. But hey, I
got to make sure i return alpha male dog in the family still sooo watch out.
That's about it family. This week we
will find out who has changes. I don't know what will happen, i have 4
changes as ZL so i could go do something else. Who knows, but whatever
the lord calls me to do i will do it. I'm so blessed to be a missionary
and little by little am truly becoming a disciple of Christ.
