Whats up my family all is well. I got transferred this past Tuesday
and i am now right outside the city of Puebla and i still don't have a
clue what the name is called because i'ts really long. Its way different
here and i like it better. First off the food is way better. I can't
believe it but i have actually had ice cream here for two of our lunch
appointments. It's so nice, all i ate in tlachi was soup ant the same
tortillas every meal. I had a flour tortilla the other day and it was
seriously like the celestial kingdom. I didn't have coke once in tlachi
and only tang but here they drink coke 24 hours a day for every day of
the week haha needless to say after one week i am all coked out.
The
actual town is way different. This place is all apartment buildings and
gated in communities that we can only go in if we have our id and if we
say exactly where were going. So that's a little different. Our
apartment is good and i like it a lot more once we cleaned it all
morning today because when two Latinos live before you lets just say
they don't clean. We even found a family of lizards in our apt but now
that it's clean it's pretty good and we even have a stove: so I want to
try making cookies. So mom if you could send me an easy recipe for cookies
without choc chips because they don't have them here i would appreciate
it. i Had my first experience today of washing my clothes in a sink and
lets just say i don't think I'm very good at it and really appreciate
washers.
I am in a ward here and it was really
weird going to church yesterday in a real church with more than 40
people. The people here are different, my comp says the members are
kinda hard and cold and lots of time for lunch they just give us money
to go eat somewhere so that's kinda strange. But there are some really good
members also and hopefully we can get them excited about missionary
work.
My comp is Elder Aviles from Guadalajara Mexico or something like that. This is his last transfer before he
leaves and i love him. We just flat out click and we pretty much like
all the same things...backstreet boys, batman, Pokemon, socks haha so
its fun he reminds me of this like little Mexican gangster haha and is
always wearing a dog tag and baggy shorts when we play stuff haha.
The
two missionaries the week before i got here had 2 baptisms so right
now we are searching for people but have good people also right now. Roman
was one of the baptisms the week before i got here and he is 25 and we
are also teaching his biiiiggggg family. ITs honestly a huge family, there is a grandma and six kids and those six kids all have some kids
except Roman who is the youngest of the six kids. So it's kinda crazy
because it's like going to grandma call's house and just teaching whoever
is there and it's different people every time. But we have like 4 people
in that family who are good investigators. They are kinda crazy and they
think its so funny just to have me try saying big words in Spanish for
some reason haha. Roman the recent convert has a problem with smoking
and we have permission from president to exercise with him every couple
of days because i guess that helps him so that is way sweet and we play
soccer and basketball ha.
We found an AWESOME
girl named Patricia who is 23 this week. Well actually she found us. I
guess she saw a post about the church on Facebook about happiness and
she commented on it and someone from Argentina told her how to get in
contact with people. So somehow she got in contact with the bishop and
then with us and she is sweet. We taught her on Saturday
and she is searching for peace and happiness and we taught her the plan
of salvation and asked her if she wanted to come to church and she
actually came to church at 8 in the morning so that was way sweet and
we think she is golden.
That's about it from the
land of wherever im at. All is good and this church is as true as ever.
Im finally starting to get out of the shock stage of the mission and
starting to enjoy it. I love you guys and have a great week. Keep Patricia in your prayers and the Rodriguez family that they may stop
drinking haha. Love ya
