November 17, 2014

Another solid week down here in guatclancingo mexico. Haha dad you were right on your letter that after a great week at church the next week probably might be a little worse and that was true and we only had two investigators at church but hey I'll take it. All is well and we are just working and the members are starting to like us more and more and we only had one lunch appointment this week that fell through so that was sweet and it's all about just earning the trust of the members because I don't think they really liked the missionaries before us so that's why it was kinda difficult at first, but now its getting better and the ward and missionaries are working very well together.

Patricia, she is flat out on fire and came to church yesterday and I should be sending a baptism picture the next week if all goes well. We plan to baptize her right after church the next week and she will have her interview on Wednesday so hopefully all goes well. She is so awesome and has read all of Jesus the Christ and, if you didn't know, you would just think she was a normal member in church because she fits right in and answers all the questions in the classes so it's sweet.

The Rodriguez fam, we've kind of hit a wall with them and none were at church yesterday so we're going to have to move the two dates for saturday back another week or so. Both the kids want it, it's just that the dang parents are little bums so hopefully they will turn around and give us permission to baptize them.

We have been teaching Alejandra and she is nine years old and her parents are less actives but they were all at church yesterday so that was sweet and we should put a baptism date for her this week. Our one golden family that we found last week we don't know where they went but hopefully we can find them haha but its all good cause yesterday we found another way sweet family. Last week when we were on divisions I was here with another elder and I contacted this family and I felt stupid because the man of the family told me he was a member haha and we still set up an appointment to visit them. I had no clue if he was active or not but yesterday we went there and found out that he has been less active for two years and he moved to this city like a year ago and I don't think really any body in the ward knows about them but he has had problems with members in the church so that is why he is less active but he knows its true with all his heart and he has a wife and kid who are catholic and he wants them to know this church and the little girl of nine years old is just flat out awesome and has already read like a hundred pages in the Book of Mormom so hopefully they turn out sweet.

We will find out this week if we have changes, it has bneen a super fast change and I really would think we would both be staying here, and I hope we are both staying here and I dont want to leave. I'll be really sad if i have to leave cause this place is picking up.

Yesterday I  ate the worst thing of my life...pig skin; it is absolutely terrible and I have no clue why they like it. It was so hard to eat and i konw the Lord was blessing me because before the mission I would of thrown it up the first bite haha! I've been a little sick this week, it seems like always this time of year i get my bad cough and super runny nose where I have to blow my nose every two minutes haha but its all good and I'm just glad i don't have bad knees. Honestly there are so many missionaries here that have bad knees and that have to go home early because of their knees because we walk so dang much haha! So my knees are still doin good and I'm hopin i have mom's genes and not dad's.

Yesterday we visited a member and they have a one year old golden retriever that is way awesome and it totally made my day. He's a little turd though and they said he chews up everything and he even has chewed up their walls haha it was pretty crazy.

I think that's about it for this week. I have not yet gotten the package but we are going to the offices tomorrow so maybe it's there. I hope you guys have a great time in dc and go to lots of museums haha! I love you guys so much and this church is so true and life  couldnt be better. Toodles
 I now have pets!  Crickets!
 Look...I found MYTON!
These two dogs follow us around all day, everyday.  Maybe they are Mormons too.
